With great pride, Harpaz Oren, Adler & Co. hosted the honorable delegation of US Congressmen, headed by the honorable Congressman Mr. Jeff Denham, Chairman, Subcommittee on
Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Cargo, for a round table meeting with leading individuals from Israel’s infrastructure sector. The discussions at the event focused on Israel’s economic
environment and the conditions related to the development of large scale Infrastructure projects, including rail projects, as well as cyber security.
The event was organized by Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Arbitration proceeding between Internet company Babylon Ltd.(TASE:BBYL) and entrepreneur Amnon Ovadia, who designed Babylon’s translation software ended in a ruling that Ovadia
would have to pay Babylon $1.5 million in order to acquire the company’s translation business.
Arbitrator Advocate Itamar Anaby’s ruling, which came two years after Ovadia demanded the cancelation of the agreement he signed with Babylon for the purchase of his translation software,
states that Ovadia must pay Babylon $1.5 million plus VAT, linkage differences, and interest, plus NIS 250,000 in expenses.

A renovation in the luxurious Sea and Sun complex, at a cost of more than 10 million NIS, has resulted in residents’ claims that the cost was intentionaly inflated by those in charge of the renovation project.

Harpaz, Oren & Co., advocates was in charge of the formation of the Israeli branch of Commonwealth Dynamics Inc. and is covering all their legal needs in Israel since then.
The most notable project executed by Commonwealth Dynamics Inc. in Israel so far is the building of two chimneys for Israel Electric Company (in “Orot Rabin” and “Rutenberg” Power Plants) as part of the FGD “clean air” project.
The District Court in Tel Aviv ruled today (18.4.16) to leave the multi-billion NIS award of the Railway Electrification Project with SEMI of ACS group (Spain) – represented and accompanied
by Harpaz, Oren & Co., Advocates.
After an aggressive legal proceeding, initiate by Alstom Transport (France), involving international Industrial espionage, the court accepted practically all of SEMI`s claims and awarded SEMI
its full amount of actual legal expenses, about NIS 700,000
(far from being a common practice in Israeli courts).
